The choir may have missed out on the official competition but it hasn’t stopped the singers getting competitive! Kim and Karen are both determined to be picked to do a solo at the carol concert and they bid to out-do each other. Jean can’t take the pressure and she makes a snap decision. Meanwhile, at the Slaters’ house Jean is getting frustrated with the continual chaos and she goes on a huge cleaning binge. However, things go awry as Jean has accidentally chucked her medication in the bin. The Slaters are worried about Jean’s state-of-mind as she’s clearly agitated.

Little do they know that it’s the pressure of keeping Hayley’s baby secret along with running the choir that is getting to her. Concerned that Jean may be having a manic episode Stacey shares her concerns with Max, knowing he’ll understand. When she later makes a worrying discovery, Stacey thinks her worst fears have been confirmed…
