Dakota Fanning and Danielle Macdonald star in this compelling drama about two girls, who are convicted and jailed for the kidnapping and murder of a child. Unsurprisingly, they immediately fall under suspicion when another child goes missing shortly after their release from custody at the age of 18.
The overladen plot rather overdoes the twists and turns, but Fanning and Macdonald are excellent as the girls, while Diane Lane and Elizabeth Banks lend solid support as an unsympathetic mother and a much more likeable detective.
