Gino D'Acampo journeys along the east coast of Italy, taking in everything it has to offer and cooking a few dishes along the way
Gino D'ACampo begins his 700-mile journey down the lesser-travelled east coast of his home country, Italy.
He begins in the jewel of the Adriatic, Venice, arriving, of course, by boat – pretending he’s James Bond as he speeds into the Grand Canal and the breathtaking beauty of this floating city.
Gino hops on board a gondola then samples the traditional lunch of the gondoliers, cicchetti – small bites of delicious flavours on bread – before rustling up a few of his own.
After a bit of lace-making on the colourful island of Burano, Gino uses the freshest of ingredients, bought at the iconic Rialto market, to create a crab and prosecco linguine.
Please note. this programme airs at 10.50pm in Wales.

As TV Times Highlights Editor I get to hear about all the latest TV shows coming soon. Here at TVT HQ we are in the privileged position of selecting the best programmes from across all the channels and streaming platforms. Our mission is to make it easier for our readers to decide what to watch - and give them lots of choice of genres - all the latest shows, plus some nostalgic choices we call hidden gems, too. My career began with a postgraduate degree in periodical journalism (ahem, yes old school!) in 1991 and I’ve worked in TV media since 2000.
