The Highland Midwife - Channel 5
A new series of The Highland Midwife sees Morven faces some difficult decisions when a patient is in labour for nearly 40 hours
The days leading up to the due date are an anxious time for any pregnant woman, but when you live hundreds of miles away from the nearest hospital, your anxiety levels must be off the scale!
Luckily, Highland midwives Ruth (pictured above, far right), Morven and Hazel are on hand to remind the expectant mums to breathe deeply, as this fly-on-the-wall series returns for a second run of more tales of births not quite going to plan.
Fans of One Born Every Minute and Call the Midwife will love the drama of a delivery in the back of an ambulance at the side of the road, a C-section and a nearly 40-hour labour…
Not so sure about the poor women going through it, though!
