As Kyla prepares to head to Holland with son Max, she has mixed emotions about her last day at Holby when Abra turns up unexpectedly. When Abra declares his love for Kyla and asks her to return to Ghana with him, she initially rejects him, not wanting to let Max down again. But knowing that Max isn't overly keen on her joining him in Rotterdam, she follows her heart and leaves with Abra for Africa. Sam's son Kieron is enjoying getting to know his father while striking up a friendship with Maria. As Elliot shocks Sam by revealing that Kieron is a famous violinist due to play to 20,000 people in New York in the New Year, Kieron kisses Maria. When Kieron tells Sam he wants to give up everything to come and live in England, Sam says he wants him to stay but not if it means him throwing away his career. When Ric learns that his patient Michelle is actually Leo's girlfriend, he vows to wean her off drugs as he failed to help son Leo beat his addiction. Later, Ric discovers that Michelle has had Leo's baby. Elsewhere, Linden is in emotional turmoil over patient Callie.
