As the enjoyable film franchise spin-off continues, the cost of the ‘collateral damage’ caused by Riggs and Murtaugh sees them demoted to responding to a noise complaint at a Hollywood party, but it’s not long before they’re creating more mayhem.

There’s a good blend of buddy cop banter, domestic comedy, high-octane action and dark backstory in this reboot, and well-cast leads Clayne Crawford (as former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs) and Damon Wayans (LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh) are clearly having a ball playing the chalk-and-cheese crimefighters.

One minor quibble, though – two hostage-situation shootouts in warehouses in as many episodes is more than enough!
