It’s time to shine the spotlight into AC-12’s darkest corners – will the series finale of Line of Duty reveal if Hastings really is criminal mastermind ‘H’?

‘The truth comes first,’ says DI Kate Fleming in this charged and taut feature-length 85-minute climax to what has been an action-packed and angst-inducing series of TV’s most challenging drama.

What exactly is the truth, though, and will it finally come to light?

After last week’s shock arrest of AC-12 boss Supt Ted Hastings (played by Adrian Dunbar, pictured above) on suspicion of conspiring to murder undercover cop John Corbett (Stephen Graham), the pressure is on for the rest of AC-12. The intensely smug DCS Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin, pulling an absolute blinder) goes all out to try to prove the real identity of  ‘H’, leaving Kate (Vicky McClure) and DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) in an awkward and potentially dangerous position.

But as revelations come to light and long-held secrets unravel, brace yourselves for some huge shockwaves…

DCS Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin) is out to nail 'H'

Hastings claims he’s been framed, so will his colleagues Kate and Steve fight to clear his name?

And will there be repercussions for the sixth series?

‘We like to surprise!’ laughs the show’s award-winning writer, Jed Mercurio.

‘It is great when people are talking about what they want to know and see next.

'I have thoughts on how it will all end…’
