The wild ride through New York's 1980s LGBT ball scene comes to a raucous conclusion

After taking us on a trip through the LGBT ball scene of 1980s New York, Pose finishes on a high with an impressive finale tonight.

The US drama about the underground world of 1980s ball culture, where drag queens and transgender people compete in extravagant fashion contests has featured a lot of characters and even more interweaving plotlines.

So many, in fact, that there are almost too many plot details to be resolved, not least the fate of Elektra who has fallen from grace after being cut off by her sugar daddy.

Blanca offers an olive branch to her former mentor ahead of the prestigious Princess Ball and the pair prove quite a force once reunited.

The big question, though, is will there be a happy ending for Angel after Stan spurned her last week?

She might have to wait for series two for her Prince Charming…

The last of an eight episode series. Co-written by Glee creators Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy, with industry newcomer Steven Canals, Pose's second season is already in the works and will air in the US later in the year. A UK transmission date is yet to be finalised
