Queen Victoria evening remembers a regal favourite as the 200th anniversary of her birth approaches

This month sees the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s birth and with that in mind BBC2 has a regal line-up of programmes tonight.

Following a repeat of Lucy Worsley’s Victoria & Albert: The Royal Wedding comes The Young Victoria, the Oscar-winning drama written by Downton’s Julian Fellowes and starring Emily Blunt as the fresh-faced queen.

Lucy Worsley is back at 9pm, alongside performers like Willard White and the Black Dyke Mills Band, with Queen Victoria: My Musical Britain, which examines how the monarch brought the country together through music at a time of great social and political change.
