A one-off special of The Secret Life of 5 Year Olds catches up with some familiar faces from previous shows, along with their parents and siblings, as they tavel to Turkey for a holiday with a difference

Eight little rays of sunshine are heading off on holiday to Turkey.

This special edition of the brilliant observational show sees the children experience new things in new places under the close observation of their mums and dads, teacher Kate and experts Dr Elizabeth Kilbey and Professor Paul Howard-Jones.

A huge part of the one-off show is how the fantastic five-year-olds cope in unfamiliar situations.

Glorious mud! Harper and Daisy enjoy mucky play

While Jack finds courage thanks to his fearless friend, Harper, the children put their parents to shame when it comes to trying new foods.

They also experience a mud bath for the first time, which tests rule-follower Nathan, and there’s even an adorable holiday romance. A total joy.
