Part of the BBC3 season – Sorry Not Sorry – which celebrates individuality, this documentary follows 18-year-old Hiba from Bradford as she debates whether marrying one of her cousins is a good option for her future.

Generations of her family have married cousins and 70 per cent of all British Pakistanis do the same.

Hiba wants to know the pros and cons, so she visits Pakistan and meets the two eligible cousins in her family, talks to relatives who have done it and looks into the genetic risks of marrying a relative for any future children.

A well-informed and intelligent look at a rarely spoken about subject.
