Writer-director David O Russell's script is sharp and smart, Jacki Weaver is fabulous as Cooper's fussy mum and Robert De Niro is hilarious as his neurotic bookmaker dad.
But it's the sizzling chemistry between the charismatic Cooper and the superb, Oscar-winning Lawrence that makes this sweet, kooky and extremely funny romcom such a joy.
