England take on a Rest of the World team as Soccer Aid for Unicef returns
As Soccer Aid for Unicef kicks off for the eighth time at 7.30pm tonight, the charity match between England and a Rest of the World team has quite a few exciting changes to the format.
It’s being held at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground and, for the first time, the teams will include female players.
Meanwhile, on the touchline, Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan will go head to head as Susanna teams up with Sam Allardyce to co-manage England and Piers and Harry Redknapp co-manage the World XI.
"I’m looking forward to going up against Piers," a smiling Susanna told TV Times.
She's well known for sparring, bickering and disagreeing with her opinionated co-host on the ITV show. "But," she adds with a laugh, "not if he wins – he’ll be insufferable!"
"I can’t wait to join Harry Redknapp on the touchline to co-manage the team," Piers chips in.
"Despite the fact he once managed Spurs, Harry’s one of the greats in football and with a little help from me, I think the players will drive us to a victory," adds the well known Arsenal fan.
Big names on Piers and Susanna's teams includ include Mo Farah, Usain Bolt, John Terry and Didier Drogba.
Most important of all, though, is the fact that it’s all taking place to fundraise for children’s organisation Unicef.
