As Springwatch enters its second week, what's going on in the natural world up and down the land?

It’s another week of Springwatch, and Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams are back prowling around Cairngorms National Park, hoping to catch the local residents in action.

Meanwhile, Gillian Burke will be reporting from Birmingham, where she’ll be exploring urban wildlife, and conservationist Cal Major is kicking off a week-long mission to inspire viewers to engage with their local wildlife.

Gillian Burke is in Birmingham this week

"We’re shining a light on an environment where most people can experience wildlife – in their very own gardens." Gillian told TV Times.

Throughout the week we'll also be finding out how we can all get more involved in the show’s Garden Watch campaign.

"It doesn’t have to be big and flash," Chris Packham told us. "Small stuff like tree slugs are fascinating, too.

"If that idea feeds through to Garden Watch, we’ll have done a great public service."

Another popular aspect of the show is the nest cameras in the Scottish Highlands. It's when Chris, Iolo, Gillian and Michaela move over and bring us the latest news from the real stars of the show!
