The death of their homeless friend Pete the Jakey brings the Craiglang pals together for a funeral

The death of their homeless friend Pete the Jakey (Jake D’Arcy, who died in May 2015 and to whom this episode of the Scottish comedy is dedicated) brings the Craiglang pals together for a funeral and a wake, although the choice of one-legged Winston as a pallbearer puts a crimp in the proceedings.

Meanwhile the rising cost of drink in the corner shop and at the Clansman pub drives the locals to try out some bootleg hooch that is selling for £3 a bottle.

While the first gulp may impair speech and cause severe muscle spasm, the good news is that 'you can clean your cooker with it – and it comes up lovely!'
