Morgan Freeman continues his search for an answer to the question of intolerance or fear of outsiders, by looking at examples of division in communities.

He visits Maryland, Sarajevo, Manhattan, Panama and Los Angeles to meet a range of people, including former US President Bill Clinton, who discuss segregation and its causes.

But the overall message of the episode is that what’s ultimately required to unite people is a lack of hostility.

Examples of this come to light in the film as we hear the remarkable stories of a black man who has befriended members of the Ku Klux Klan, and a woman who left the controversial Westboro Baptist Church after an encounter on Twitter.
