Brothers Ben and Noah have brought in Hector, their adored 10-month-old German Pointer, for spinal surgery.

'He's another brother,' says Ben. 'It's like he's always been here. All my memories have Hector in them.' Also going under the knife is Labradoodle Mitzi, who's been hit by a car.

The surgery that Supervet Noel performs is mind-blowing, but the best bit of this series is seeing just how much people love their animals and the huge amount of joy they bring to their lives
