This superior adventure sees Hugh Jackman back as the X-Men mutant James Logan, aka razor-clawed superhero Wolverine.

Decades after surviving the 1945 nuclear bombing of Nagasaki, Logan returns to Japan to meet a billionaire industrialist whose life he saved back then - but ends up fending off hordes of Yakuza gangsters and ninja warriors while on the run with the man’s granddaughter (Tao Okamoto).

With one standout sequence taking place atop a hurtling bullet train, the action scenes are terrific, Jackman is on fighting-fit form and Okamoto and Rila Fukushima, as an ice-cool killer, are captivating foils for him.
