Three fine hosts... one stunning city... Anita Rani, Ade Adepitan and Dan Snow explore Mexico City on their tour of urban life around the world.

Historian Dan visits the Plaza de las Tres Culturas to discover how Mexico City evolved through the Aztec, Spanish colonial and post-independence eras.

Though built on a drained lake, Mexico City now faces water shortages, as Ade – whose fluent Spanish is impressive – learns before looking at a self-built neighbourhood from a cable car.

Meanwhile, Anita gets lost on the buses and finds out how a city of 22 million people manages its waste. ¡Qué bueno!
