Gemma worried about 'scarring' Hollyoaks co-star

Hollyoaks star Gemma Bissix says she was worried she had traumatised her young co-star Ellis Hollins.

The actress is reprising her role as soap superb**** Clare Devine in the Channel 4 show, and recalled how her Hollyoaks alter ego tried to kill her husband Max Cunningham in front of his little brother, Tom, in 2007, when Ellis was just nine.

Gemma said: "I could have scarred the poor boy! I remember saying to his mum, 'Is he OK with these things?'

"On my first day back on the Hollyoaks set, I went up to Ellis and was like, 'Do you remember how nasty I was as Clare?'

"He was like, 'No, you were dead nice'. He did say, 'I remember looking out of a log cabin and seeing you trying to kill Max', but he said it like it was a lovely memory!"

But the 29-year-old actress has warned things may not be so rosy between Clare and Tom.

"There's a bunch of people in the village that Clare has vendettas with, not least little Tom," she revealed.

"You just don't know if he will take revenge on Clare. There is scope for that in the future, it hasn't been touched on yet, but there are so many things that could happen there.
