Blue singer, actor and television presenter Duncan James is set to join the cast of Hollyoaks to play Ryan, a new character who moves into the village with his family this summer.
Talking about his new role, Duncan said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Hollyoaks team! I’m looking forward to working with the fantastic on and off screen talent on the show and bringing the character of Ryan to life.”
A Hollyoaks spokesperson says: “Ryan is a good guy in a committed relationship who will move into the village. He’s a grounded family man with principles and integrity but who will fight tooth and nail for what he believes in.”
And there’s always plenty to fight over in Hollyoaks!
Best known as a member of the hit boy-band Blue, Duncan has also enjoyed success on the stage having starred in the West End productions of Chicago and Legally Blonde, and has recently been touring the UK starring in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, as well as appearing in Grease: The School Musical on TV.
Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4, Monday, May 23, 6.30pm
