Former Hollyoaks star Benjamin Hart is heading Down Under to join the cast in another hit soap, Neighbours. The 29-year-old actor - who played Foz in the C4 soap - revealed that his friendship with former Home & Away actress Dannii Minogue was responsible for him landing the role after she frog-marched him to see her agent. "I was due to fly out that day back to London," he said, "but on my way to the airport I went to see Neighbours casting boss Jan Russ and within 10 minutes of leaving her office, they called and offered me the part." He admitted it was a dream come true, and said he never would have thought he'd be walking around Ramsay Street after spending his teenage years watching the show. Benjamin went on to reveal how he's been friends with Dannii for a long time, and had visited Australia with her on a number of occasions. He said each time he went, he told her he would see an agent, but it was only when the star took him to visit her own agent that things fell into place. The actor is just one of several new faces who will be cropping up in Ramsay Street over the coming months, as replacements for long-standing cast members who are moving on. Janet Andrewartha - better known as Lyn Scully - has already left in Australia. And later this year, Ben Nicholas (Stingray Timmins), Damien Bodie (Dylan Timmins), Nell Feeney (Janelle Timmins), Sianoa Smit-McPhee (Bree Timmins), Kyal Marsh (Boyd Hoyland) and Stephanie McIntosh (Sky Mangel) will also be leaving the soap.
