Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has announced that he is engaged to his boyfriend of seven years.
Kieron, who plays Ste Hay in the Channel 4 soap, told the Daily Mirror that he was busy planning his wedding to Carl Hyland.
The 28-year-old said: "I just got engaged. It's really exciting. We've been together for over seven years so it's not a shock.
"Depending on storylines we're hoping to squeeze it in next year. I don't want it to be a cold wedding, but then I don't want to be too hot, so it'll be spring."
Kieron also said he had a few plans up his sleeve to make the big day especially memorable.
He hinted: "I want there to be a few surprises on the day. Not even my mum knows some of the things I have in mind."
Kieron has played Ste in Hollyoaks since 2006 and is currently one of a number of cast members involved in the Fraser Black (Jesse Birdsall) murder storyline.
