Hollyoaks reveals a new member of the O'Connor family

Hollyoaks’ Sinead O’Connor is set to be led astray by a mischievous new cousin who arrives in the village.

Ross Adams has been cast as Scott Drinkwell, a member of the O’Connor family, who is set to cause trouble for Sinead (Stephanie Davis).

Ross said: “I’m beyond thrilled to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks. I’ve always admired the bold, brave stories the programme tells and knowing that I’m going to be part of the team is quite honestly a dream come true.

“Scott is an absolute hoot to play. He’s loud and proud in every way and he has no filter when it comes to saying what he thinks. Deep down though, his heart is in the right place and he thinks the world of his cousin, Sinead – so watch out anyone who upsets her!”

Scott is gay and is tipped to add yet more confusion to the situation between Sinead, Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and John Paul McQueen (James Sutton). Sinead is currently expecting Ste’s baby, causing tension between him and John Paul.

His first scenes will screen at the end of April.

Ross added: “I’ve been working with Steph Davis, Alex Fletcher (who plays Sinead’s mum Diane), Kieron Richardson and James Sutton. They’ve all been really welcoming.

“I hope the audience grow to love Scott as much as I love playing him!”
