Susan set for longer stay in Hollyoaks

Hollyoaks newcomer Susan Loughnane will get a longer role in the soap when her character is revealed to be a surrogate mum.

Susan plays Chloe, who appears in the village to ask John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) for money, but will return later in the year to play the surrogate mother of his child.

The actress told The Herald: "I'm doing Hollyoaks until the end of November so it's exciting. I filmed for the month of June and then I had a break and now I'm back for the next few months.

"She's really fun, it's something different for me. It's definitely a challenge for me, but I love a challenge."

James told Digital Spy how much he had enjoyed his upcoming scenes with Susan.

He said: "We had a great time filming together.

"The scenes were shot pretty quickly, so it felt like Susan was in and out, but it was a great deal of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing it myself. We were pleased with the work we did, so fingers crossed it'll look all right!"
