Hollyoaks fans don't have long to wait until the epic October stunt week plays out.

As the show gears up for the dramatic scenes, which have previously featured bus and train crashes and school explosions, actor Imran Adams, who plays Mitchell Deveraux, has teased just how brilliant it's going to be.

"It is something for the Hollyoaks history books," he revealed. "I'm so, so honoured to be a part of it."

Imran added to Digital Spy: "All I'm saying is that if you haven't watched Hollyoaks in a while, you'll definitely want to start now. I feel like they've really pushed themselves and pushed the envelope with this.

"It's as good as any other stunt I've seen in any soap and it's definitely one for the Hollyoaks stunt history books. It's going to be crazy."

Of course Imran isn't the only Hollyoaks actor who has promised big things when it comes to this year's stunt week.

Former X Factor singer Jake Quickenden, 31, recently joined the cast as a builder, and Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste Hay on the Channel 4 soap, recently confirmed he will be part of the stunt week action.

Kieron spilled, "Jake Quickenden is involved! It’s always amazing and the director doing it this year did our iconic bus crash years ago.

"They bring in the special effects team and Bryan Kirkwood said it’s gonna be our biggest, best ever."

Jake's exact role is still shrouded in mystery, but the reality TV star is set to film with Nick Pickard, Ashley Taylor Dawson, Sarah Jayne Dunn and Gary Lucy.

Hollyoaks was recently crowned Best Soap at the British Soap Awards.
