How will Duncan react when he finds Alf's letter?

Duncan decides to leave Summer Bay before something stops him in his tracks – a heartfelt letter from his dad...

Pilot Duncan Stewart is wracked with guilt following the plane crash tragedy and is convinced the disaster was all his fault in Home and Away.

With his relationship with Alf still fraught, he decides it would be in everyone's best interests if he simply packed his bags and left Summer Bay.

However, when he comes across the heartfelt letter his dad has written him, he's stunned to realise just how much Alf cares about him. Will his father's loving words prompt a change of heart and encourage him stick around?

 

When Alf feared Duncan might die in the plane crash, he wrote his son a heartfelt letter, pouring out his true feelings.

This week, and with his son miraculously rescued, he tucks it away for safe-keeping.

Alf is overwhelmed with joy to realise he hasn't lost Duncan after all but his joy soon turns to sadness.

Feeling wracked with guilt over the crash and convinced it was his fault, Duncan tells his dad he's leaving Summer Bay as he's brought nothing but misery.

However, while organisinsg his flight out of the Bay, he stumbles across the letter his dad has written him. Duncan is bowled over to see how Alf, who's never been able to express just how much he loves him, has written it all down on paper! Will his father's loving words prompt a change of heart?
