Just under a year ago, Georgina Campbell caused a shock the BAFTA TV Awards when she was announced as the Leading Actress winner for her performance in harrowing BBC3 drama Murdered By My Boyfriend.
That night in May she beat Keeley Hawes, Sarah Lancashire and Sheridan Smith to the award and a year later she told What's on TV: "I wasn't prepared for it. I mean there was a picture circulated at the time, my eyes are kind of popping out of my face. I hadn't thought of a speech so as I was heading up there I was, head in hands, 'Oh my god, what am I going to say?' A lot of people came up to me after and said it's quite exciting having someone going up there who genuinely had no idea they were going to get it because you kind of get a real response, a nervous response!"

Georgina's career has diversified since her BAFTA win, working in comedy (E4's Tripped, Sky 1's After Hours) and drama (new Guy Ritchie movie King Arthur and the BBC's One of Us): "Last year [has been the first] I started doing comedy so... I kind of love doing drama, it's my bread and butter, I'm good at crying and getting very upset. So doing comedy is a whole new thing, a whole new skill set."
Would the 23-year-old prefer to known as a comic or dramatic actress? "Both! I want to be an Olivia Colman, like she's got both of them down. It would be fantastic to be able to switch between."
Georgina presented the BAFTA TV nominations with Dermot O'Leary today.
