However Jeremy Lynch's impressive 'freestyle football' won him a place in the semi-finals
Eight-year-olds Charlie and Krista, known as Cheeky Monkeys, danced their way into the next round
Simon Cowell was very impressed by the dance twosome Shock
Tap dancer Leslie Collard also went through, proving it was a good week for pensioners and hoofers
Teenager Jamie Fenuga also impressed the judges with his quirky dance routine
And Simon Cowell was left gaping at the belly dancing antics of Sophie Mei
Pensioner Leonard Bennett showed off his strength - and went through to the semi-finals
Another oldie to impress the judges was 85-year-old belly dancer Simone Lloyd-Davis
And opera singer Kay Lacey, accompanied by pianist Harvey French, scored a hit with judges and crowd
Nine-year-old Melissa Lucas played harmonica while twirling a hula hoop - but failed to make it through
Kathryn Davenport failed to impress the panel with her Hi-De-Hi impersonations
And the judges were not amused by cork-hatted comedy trio Disco Inferno
The 18-year-old wowed judges and audience alike with his song from Miss Saigon
