Cheryl hopes Honey G wins The X Factor (though she hasn't seen her!)

Ex X Factor judge Cheryl is hoping Honey G wins the current series, but only because her nieces and nephews are obsessed with her

Former X Factor judge Cheryl has revealed she isn't watching the show this year but she IS backing a winner.

The singer has revealed her nieces and nephews are obsessed with Honey G and she hopes the rapper goes on to win.

When asked whether she still watches The X Factor, Cheryl told Hello magazine: “No, I haven’t – should I be?

“I have heard a lot about Honey G, though…

“My nieces and nephews think she is great and I really hope she wins, just for them.”

Cheryl also told the magazine she has been working on new music, but fans will have to wait a while to hear the tracks.

She said: “I am working on new music and have been for a while.

“I’m not going to release it until I am 100 per cent happy and I’m getting there, but it won’t be until next year.”
