Coronation Street to air special episode TONIGHT focusing entirely on THESE two characters

Brace yourselves for one of the most emotional episodes of Coronation Street to date...

Tonight's second episode of Coronation Street will focus on Sinead and Daniel's story as they get the devastating news that Sinead's cancer has spread, leaving her with just months to live.

Coronation Street fans were left heartbroken at the start of the week when Sinead found a lump on her neck during her wedding day.

She broke the life-shattering news to Daniel and the pair agreed to continue with their wedding, putting off going to the hospital until the following day... but both knew that the cancer had returned and they were already on borrowed time.

Today's first episode sees Daniel and Sinead going to the hospital for her scan, and as they return home to wait for any news, they vow to remain positive and book a mini moon to celebrate their new marriage.

But sadly for Sinead this is a cancer that she won't be beating and the bottom falls out of their world when the specialist tells them Sinead only has months to live.

As they return home from the appointment, their families rally around them, but as the news starts to sink in, no one really knows what to say to Sinead, who is facing the very likely prospect that she won't even get to see Bertie's first Christmas.
