The GC is serious about skating!

Gemma Collins lasted just a matter of days on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! but she's revealed her Dancing on Ice stint will be a different story.

The Only Way Is Essex star will take to the ice with her partner Matt Evers next month and she's ready to win over her critics.

Revealing that she won't even be tucking into turkey and mince pies over Christmas, Gemma said: "How can I enjoy all the food and booze this Christmas when I know I’ve got to step out and perform on ice and prove to the world that I can do this?

“I know this sounds really bizarre, but I’m not really bothered about Christmas this year because I’ve got such a big challenge in front of me," she added to The Sun.

“Everyone thinks I’m the fat joke on the show but whatever’s going to happen in my life, I can do this!"

She continued: “I can do it. And I’m going to prove every f**ker out there wrong. People will be eating their words. That’s how I feel.”

Of course, the GC is no stranger to reality TV shows - having made a name for herself on TOWIE and then making an unforgettable appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.

The 37-year-old blonde is somewhat of a diva though, so it's unsure how she will get along with some of her fellow celebs such as James Jordan.

The former Strictly Come Dancing pro admitted two years ago that he "can't stand" the Essex star.

In answer to Twitter polls from two years ago, set up to gauge fans’ thoughts on Gemma when she starred in 2016’s Celebrity Big Brother, he replied: "I like her as a housemate but would vote NO as I can’t stand her as a person." Uh oh...

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV1 on Sunday 6 January at 6pm.
