Danniella Westbrook rose to fame as EastEnders' Sam Mitchell back in the 1990s, and it looks like she will be making her soap return very soon.

Speaking just hours after the Celebrity Big Brother final, where she came fifth, the actress said she had received "a lot" of offers and now wanted to concentrate on acting after showing the public the real her on the Channel 5 reality TV series.

When asked whether Ross Kemp's reprisal of her on-screen brother Grant meant she would be back in Albert Square, Danniella claimed her next move might come as a surprise to fans, reports the Express.

"At the end of the day, I am an actress first and foremost. That's exactly what I want to do - go back to acting and soaps," Danniella said.

"I sat with my agent for 20 minutes [after the CBB final] and I couldn't even take it in… I've got a lot of things that people want me to do at the moment."

She then teased: "I should be in some form of soap before the summer. It might not be the one you think it's going to be."

During her time in the Big Brother house, she got into a number of blazing rows, none of which she says she regrets.

"I don't regret anything I said or did in the house. It's me, like it or lump it. With Stephanie [Davis], I regret the fact that I didn't know what was going on beforehand," Danniella said.

"We're friends,” she added. “We made a pact that we'll leave what was said in the house. The arguments are done and dusted!"

Danniella also revealed that she still thought co-star Megan McKenna was a good role model for her children, despite her epic meltdown.

"I think she carried herself well, even the night she lost her temper, a lot of her points were valid."
