There's trouble brewing in EastEnders and fans are convinced that Keanu Taylor is about to be killed off...

Last night's EastEnders saw Phil Mitchell give Keanu Taylor a 'job' in Spain after Sharon Mitchell came up with the plan to get rid of the mechanic to help lovesick Louise Mitchell and ease her own guilt at the same time.

After Phil complained about heartbroken daughter Louise moping around the house all day, Sharon asked her friends what they thought they could do to cheer the teenager up.

When it was suggested that Keanu went away for a while, Sharon came up with the plan to ask Phil to send Keanu to do the job in Spain that he's been talking about for the last week.

But while it might have started as a case if 'out of sight, out of mind' for Sharon, she soon realised her error when Keanu went to say goodbye before he left, and he revealed the job in Spain is dangerous.

With Keanu already packed and ready to go, there was nothing that Sharon could do but stand by and watch the man she loves walking to the tube station, ready for a month abroad.

But will he be coming back? EastEnders fans don't seem to think so!

Even Keanu said that he wasn't sure if he would be coming back - so whatever job Phil has sent him abroad to do, it doesn't sound like much fun.

Desperate to save Keanu's skin, Sharon raced home and confronted Phil about what the work was that he'd given his mechanic... and she definitely didn't get the answer she was hoping for.

While she demanded that he bought Keanu home on the pretence that it was for Louise of course, not her, Phil told her not to worry and didn't do anything to reassure her that this was a harmless errand he'd sent Keanu on.

So is this the last we will see of Walford's resident mechanic? What exactly does Phil have planned for his daughter's ex in Spain?

Something tells us this is just another twist in the 'Sheanu' storyline... watch this space!

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
