Ex-Hollyoaks star Jessica Ellis lands new presenting role

Hollyoaks, Tegan Lomax

Her long-running character Tegan Lomax was killed-off in the Channel 4/E4 soap last month. But Jessica Ellis has landed a new role.

Ex-Hollyoaks star Jessica Ellis, whose long-running character Tegan Lomax was dramatically killed-off in the Channel 4/E4 soap's big Storm Week, has landed a new presenting job.

Watch out for Jessica on The Guide Liverpool, the website which brings you snappy reports on all the latest hotspots and events to check out in the city where Hollyoaks is filmed.

In this week's video update, Jessica joins regular presenter Jay to bring viewers reports on Knowsley Safari Park, the Liverpool Empire's plans to stage musical We Will Rock You and Christmas happenings at the Royal Albert Dock...and more!

Although some characters in Hollyoaks have infamously come-back-from-the-dead, it definitely looks like Tegan is a goner, after suffering terrible injuries after being hit by a falling tree during a terrible storm in episodes shown last month.

"I'm going to miss doing what I love everyday," says Jessica who played Tegan for five years. "I'm going to miss the crew. I'm going to miss the canteen staff. Like, I've grown up on Hollyoaks.

"I don't think the Lomax family are going to cope without me! I think they are going to crumble and disintegrate. I think Tegan was like the linchpin within the family. She was kind of like the mediator. So I think they will struggle without Tegan but there'll be lots of storyline and drama to come from her death."

Hollyoaks continues weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4 with a First Look at 7:00pm on E4

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.
