Kelly Rowland could be in line to return to the The X Factor judging panel next series, after show bosses admitted they would have her back on the show. There had been speculation that Kelly would quit after her turbulent time on the show - which saw her embroiled in a series of heated rows with fellow judge Tulisa Contostavlos over contestant Misha B's alleged backstage bullying. However The Sun reports that the Destiny's Child singer is on the list of potential judges for the 2012 series. "It seems to be taken as read that Kelly is not coming back but that is wrong," a source told the paper. "Simon Cowell and executive producer Richard Holloway were very pleased with her on last year's show and would have her back. It is at an early stage, but Kelly's name is still very much in the mix." And a friend of Kelly's said that she had had a "great time" on the show and would be eager to return. "She loved all the drama, even when it was pretty harsh against her," the source said. "Kelly is a tough cookie and a few barbs is like water off a duck's back to her. "Yes, it was a draining experience and one she probably didn't realise at the outset was going to be quite so gruelling, but mentoring her acts - especially Misha B - was really rewarding for her and she loved it." Gary Barlow has previously mentioned he is in talks to return to the panel next series, while Tulisa and Louis Walsh look likely to be on board for another series. Simon Cowell himself is also tipped for a comeback, following reports that the series dates may move to allow him to appear on both the UK and US versions.
