The hit US cop drama franchise Law & Order is to get a British version, created by ITV and Kudos Productions, makers of Spooks and Hustle. The 13-part series Law & Order: London will be co-produced by American network NBC, which produces the various versions of Law & Order, currently shown in the UK on Five. ITV's director of drama Laura Mackie said: "Although based on the US series, Law & Order: London will absolutely look and feel very British, glossy, dynamic and with the style and energy Kudos bring to all of their drama." Kudos is currently producing Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach for ITV1. The Emmy Award-winning Law & Order is the longest running crime series and the second longest-running drama series in the history of US television, and has just begun its 18th season on NBC. The 13 one-hour episodes will begin production in April and has yet to be cast.
