Olly Murs checks Keith is OK

Keith Lemon has revealed that someone on a moped tried to swipe his "£40 watch" from his wrist.

The 45-year-old star - real name Leigh Francis  - said the “crazy” incident happened yesterday. He also thanked former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Melvin Odoom for giving him a lift home.

“Cheers to @Melvinodoom for the lift home. So crazy that some moped scum bag tried to steel my gold look Casio watch off my wrist. Ding bats I hope they fall off and hurt their bodies…”

Keith also Tweeted: “Note to self – be more aware and stop showing off with my £40 watch!”

The comedian later spoke to The Sun about the incident, saying: "I’m OK. It was just a bit weird. I didn’t realise what was going on.

“These guys rode by the side of us and grabbed my arm. I was like ‘what’s going on?! He couldn’t get my watch off cos he had biker gloves on.”

Keith joked that in future he was going to start wearing a sun dial on his wrist.

Olly Murs sent him a message checking he was OK.

Keith has been on screen recently with his ITV2 series Keith Lemon: Coming In America.
