Kim Cattrall: 'There's a headstone in Liverpool with my name on it'
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has revealed she wants to be laid to rest in her Liverpool hometown after returning to film The Witness For The Prosecution.
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has revealed she loved filming the BBC’s new Agatha Christie drama because it took her back to her Liverpool hometown.
The 60-year-old actress filmed The Witness For The Prosecution in the city, where she was born and spent the first few months of her life before returning, aged 11.
She told the Daily Mirror she wants to be laid to rest in the city.
“It’s where I went to school as a kid. It was a very enriching, life-altering experience going back there. It’s where I want to go and rest when this fantastic ride is over – I feel biblical about it,” she told the newspaper.
“There is a headstone waiting with my name, my birthdate and then a dash and space for the date of my death.
“It’s a family grave and there is space left for me. So I know wherever it happens, I’m going to end up in Liverpool. Liverpool keeps coming back and changing my life.”

Cattrall said going back to the city brought back memories of her beloved father Dennis, who died four years ago after suffering Alzheimer’s disease.
“I’m concerned about Alzheimer’s disease. It took my father. But that’s your DNA,” she said.
“It’s part of life. And I’m trying not to be so fear-based.”
The Witness For The Prosecution sees Cattrall play Emily French - a wealthy widow with a penchant for younger men, who meets a grisly end when she is murdered.
Actor Toby Jones plays a lawyer who defends the man on trial for the murder, and becomes consumed by the case as he tries to find ways to defend the accused.
In an interview, Jones said the case turns his character into "something of a detective".
The Witness For The Prosecution airs on BBC One on Boxing Day at 9pm
