Marley's Ghosts star John Hannah: 'I saw the ghost of my grandfather' (VIDEO)

With a star-studded cast including John Hannah, Jo Joyner, Nicholas Burns and Sarah Alexander, new three-part comedy Marley's Ghosts is bound to turn some heads when it debuts on GOLD this month, so we caught up with the stars to see what it was all about...

When Marley's husband and lover both die on the same day, their ghosts move into her house and she realises she has the rare gift of being able to talk to the dead. Unsurprisingly, they both have some questions for her!

The woman in question is played by Sarah Alexander (of Green Wing and Jonathan Creek fame) and it's not just her spouse and lover who come to stay after snuffing it. Her vicar (EastEnders star Jo Joyner) has also passed away and is hanging about!

Four Weddings and a Funeral star John Hannah plays Marley's husband Adam, while Nicholas Burns (The IT Crowd) plays her lover Michael and they told us they had great fun filming the show.

"I have actually seen a ghost in real life," John Hannah told whatsontv.co.uk. "I was sitting with my dad and we both saw my grandfather at the same time. We were talking and we turned around and we saw him walk across the room and sit down. We turned to each other and said 'that was granddad!' and when we turned back he was gone ... it was Christmas though!" "]

Marley's Ghosts starts on Wednesday 30th September on GOLD.
