Michelle Visage has proved hugely popular during her time on Strictly so far, but was reportedly left 'annoyed' after being snubbed from the 2020 Strictly live tour.

The American star - who is currently appearing on the UK version of RuPaul's Drag Race - had been told she was being considered for the arena tour, but was later told she wouldn't be needed.

According to the Daily Star, Michelle was left feeling 'confused' over the news.

'Michelle was approached by the producers working on the tour a while ago. They talked her through the dates and asked if she could be available,' an insider revealed. 'But then suddenly she got an email saying she wasn't needed. The message was short and blunt.

'Michelle was left feeling confused by the whole thing and pretty annoyed. She is trying her hardest to impress on Strictly and feels like she deserved a place on the tour.'

All of the celebrities earn the standard £25,000 for signing up to Strictly, but appearing on the live tour can significantly boost their earnings. So it's no surprise it's something a lot of them are keen to do.

Any star that remains in the competition past October earns £40,000. This rises to £60,000 if they make it to the quarter-finals, £75,000 if they make it into the semi-finals and £100,000 if they are crowned the champion.

Controversially the judges earn between £150,000 - £200,000 to offer their expertise on the show, yet the professional dancers' salary is significantly lower at around £30,000.

Spice Girls star Mel C has reportedly been keen to sign up to Strictly before, but doesn't think the pay packet is high enough for such a popular TV show.

She said: 'Strictly is really the only one of those shows that I would consider and I have had a meeting with them – they ask me every year to do it.

'The problem is if you do Strictly it’s so high profile and you’ll find yourself in the sidebar of shame every day.'

Despite getting approached every year, Mel added: 'And the money’s s***!'

We'd LOVE to see her on Strictly!
