Natalie Gumede has hinted that she would consider making a return to Coronation Street - but only after trying other roles first.
The actress, who played evil Kirsty Soames in the ITV soap, is on course to reach the final of Strictly Come Dancing next weekend.
However thinking ahead to life beyond the dancefloor, she said: "I won't ever say no to Corrie.
"I had a great time there but I'd like to try other things first. One of the joys of acting is you never know what the next challenge will be."
She admitted also she had 'missed' the cobbles, adding: Strictly reminded me of that because it has been a pleasure to act on the dance floor.
“I’ve been lucky because I’ve been able to use that and hide my mistakes under the jazz hands.”
Natalie performed two routines on Saturday night's Strictly - a salsa and an Argentine Tango - in her bid to reach the final.

The former dance, with partner Artem Chigvinsev, scored her her first perfect 40 of the series from the judges.
The results will be revealed on Sunday night's show.
