Cilla Black fans won’t want to miss Paul O’Grady’s Radio 2 show on Sunday, August 9.

TV and radio presenter Paul - one of Cilla’s best friends - will pay a very personal tribute to the TV star by dedicating the second hour of his show (from 6.00pm) to her music, playing some of her biggest hits as well as some lesser-known Cilla songs and a few of her personal favourites.

Speaking of Cilla’s sudden death, Paul, who presented Cilla with her special BAFTA in 2014, has said: “It’s like the fun has gone, the lights are turned down now. That’s it. God, I’m going to miss Cilla.”

Cilla, who died at her home in Spain on August 1 after suffering a stroke, has re-entered the music charts after more than 30 years with her compilation album, The Very Best Of.

Cilla’s body has been flown back to the UK and her funeral is expected to take place in the next week at Denham in Buckinghamshire.

Paul O’Grady, Radio 2, begins at 5.00pm on Sunday, August 9, with the Cilla tribute starting at 6.00pm.
