Peter Andre is to join This Morning as a showbiz reporter, as the flagship daytime show is revamped for its new series. The Mysterious Girl singer - who has spent recent months embroiled in an acrimonious split from wife Katie Price - will be joined on the show by a host of other newcomers including former Changing Rooms presenter Linda Barker, garden designer Diarmuid Gavin and chefs Gino D'Acampo and Jean Christophe Novelli, ITV said. This week it was also announced that Peter, 36, is to perform at a lunch in honour of boxing legend Muhammad Ali at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium. The 21st series of This Morning begins on September 1, with recently engaged Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford taking the reins for the opening fortnight before resuming their customary role presenting on Fridays. Fern Britton's replacement Holly Willoughby will make her debut on the sofa alongside Phillip Schofield on September 14. Holly told Hello! she was "doing high kicks" after being told she had landed the job, and was delighted to be reunited with her Dancing On Ice co-presenter Phillip. The 28-year-old said she would try to bring her own style to This Morning. "You can't try to recreate anything that's been in the past," she told the mag. "Fern and Phil were a brilliant couple. "They were hilarious and you couldn't help but laugh along with them. I can only be myself and I don't even know what that's going to be like yet." The show's 21st birthday in October will be marked with on-screen celebrations and surprise guests.
