Fans will be delighted when Stacey returns

EastEnders star Louisa Lytton (Ruby Allen) has hinted that Stacey Slater will be involved in a “juicy” storyline as she confirmed the character will be back - most likely early in the New Year.

Stacey has been largely missing from Albert Square recently as Lacey Turner, who plays her, has been on maternity leave.

Stacey had skipped Walford with hubby Martin Fowler after whacking Phil Mitchell with a wrench. And some fans even worried Stacey might be leaving for good after she recently made a brief return to the soap only for Martin to lie to her that he’d cheated on her with ex-wife Sonia Fowler.

EastEnders Ruby confronts Stacey

Ruby (played by Louisa Lytton) and Stacey (Lacey Turner) have been through so much together - what awaits the pair in EastEnders in 2020?

Martin of course only did that to protect Stacey from Ben Mitchell - but Stacey could have been so convinced by Martin’s fibs she might have decided to never comeback.

Phil Mitchell intimidates Kat

Stacey whacked Phil earlier this year - he wasn't happy!

However, Louisa confirmed in a chat with The Sun that we certainly haven’t seen the last of Stacey. And she hinted that bosses have something dramatic up their sleeve when Lacey Turner makes her eagerly-anticipated return to the soap as Stacey.

“I don’t know what I can say… there is a big storyline coming up next year,” said Louisa. “Lacey Turner is back from maternity leave so things are going to get very juicy, but I can’t say anything else”.
