Strictly Come Dancing: Full house for Kimberley!

There was a new leader at the top of the Strictly Come Dancing scoreboard in Saturday night's quarter-final - singer Kimberley Walsh, who scored the first full house of the series from the judges. The Girls Aloud star picked up her four 10s - even scoring full marks from the notoriously hard to please Craig Revel Horwood - for her blend of tango and cha cha cha as the remaining six contestants tackled fusion routines. "There was a surprise at every turn, it was imaginative, it was seamless," Bruno Tonioli told her, while Craig Revel Horwood simply commented, "That was dancing." Meanwhile Louis Smith also picked up another 10 for his efforts, which combined a tango and rumba and once again put him on course for the final. "Two dances at either end of the spectrum and you pulled it off," Len Goodman said of his dramatic performance while Craig added, "I have to say you danced that with effortless dexterity." And Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer picked up her first 10s of the series, cementing her status as the dark horse of the competition following her fusion of Charleston and quickstep. Darcey called the routine "extraordinary..seamless," while the ever-enthusiastic Bruno Tonioli said "That was an exuberant fusion frenzy, it was like watching a flapper's greatest hit. You went full bore, it was brilliant." Denise, meanwhile suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction when she got her heel caught in her dress, but her fast-paced fusion of jive and quickstep still scored her 35 out of 40. "I've gotta say this, the quickstep had go and the jive had show, it was a proper fusion," Len said, while Bruno Tonioli added, "You were going at the speed of light...the jive was incredible, the precision and the accuracy was outstanding." The bottom end of the scoreboard, meanwhile, was filled by Lisa Riley and Nicky Byrne - the former blending cha cha cha with tango and the latter attempting American Smooth and Samba in one routine. 'The cha cha cha was better than your tango, your tango is failing you in your ballroom, the dance really took off when your clothes came off," Craig told Lisa, although Darcey disagreed, saying: 'I thought your tango was better...your cha cha cha was too loose. But a fabulous performance, you always give it your all.' However Nicky fell foul of Craig with his fusion of American Smooth and Samba. "You need a lot more bounce in the samba and the American Smooth moves were truly dreadful," he said. "I think we're going to be seeing that dance again." Len, meanwhile, described the fusion of the two routines as "the greatest challenge we've seen so far," and added, "the mix was good, the lifts were good, I thought you came out and did a good job." Ultimately, however, the Westlife singer slumped to the bottom of the scoreboard with just 27 points.
