Strictly Come Dancing: Goldie is first out!

Goldie has become the first casualty of Strictly Come Dancing 2010, following the first public vote of the series. The actor and musician lost out after finding himself in the bottom two alongside former footballer Peter Shilton. And with the dance-off and judges' vote having been axed, the result was decided entirely on public vote for the first time at this stage in the series. Afterwards, Goldie said he had enjoyed his brief time on the show, and was full of praise for his dance partner Kristina Rihanoff. "I've had a great time," he said. "I've got superfit which is good, and I think Kristina is fantastic. "It's been a good experience for me - onwards and upwards." The other 12 couples on the show - including Matt Baker and Aliona Vilani, Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev, Felicity Kendal and Vincent Simone and Scott Maslen and Natalie Lowe - all made it through to next week on public vote. Anne Widdecombe and Anton du Beke also won through on public vote, despite receiving the lowest score ever for a salsa on Saturday night's show. Craig Revel Horwood gave the pair just one point for their efforts after saying there "were no words to describe what 10 million people have just seen". Next weekend will see the 13 remaining couples perform either a rumba or a quickstep in a bid to stay in the competition.
