Strictly dancers Ola and Karen in 'bust-up'

Strictly Come Dancing pros Ola Jordan and Karen Hauer have reportedly had a backstage bust-up which left Ola threatening to quit the show.

According to the Sunday People the pair came to blows after Karen accused Ola of being a 'rubbish dancer' - with fellow dancer Pasha Kovalev attempting to defuse things between the pair.

And the paper suggests that the Polish-born peformer seriously considered quitting the series before eventually deciding to continue with partner Ashley Taylor Dawson.

"Ola was deeply upset by the incident and has struggled emotionally this week," a source told the paper.

The insider continued: “The dancers were on a break from rehearsing and Ola’s husband (James Jordan) had popped out of the studio to get some fresh air when Karen approached Ola and began saying nasty things.

“She told her she was a rubbish dancer and that was why she was always put at the back of the stage, even though that’s not true.

“Ola doesn’t know if it’s jealousy or what but it was horrible. It was a totally unprovoked verbal attack and Ola was very, very upset and felt she was being bullied."

A show source added that Karen later apologised to Ola - and that both had assured show bosses that neither would allow the feud to affect their performances on the show.

Ola's spokesperson told the paper: “On Monday 28th October, Karen Hauer verbally attacked Ola during group pro training.

“Ola did continue with her training as she couldn’t let her partner Ashley, or the show down. The BBC handled the matter and Karen has now apologised to Ola.”

Strictly continues on Sunday night with the results of the Halloween special at 7.20pm.
