The BBC has reportedly received hundreds of complaints after Gabby Logan's shock exit from Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC sports presenter was booted off the BBC1 show despite putting in a polished performance on Saturday night, while injured Kate Garraway and Gabby's husband Kenny, whose dancing has been labelled 'a disaster', remained in the contest. Now, according to the Daily Express, more than 500 viewers have emailed the Points Of View website, while others have contacted its complaints department. A BBC spokesperson confirmed: "We have had a number of complaints about Gabby via the official channels," Gabby found herself in the dreaded dance-off with Penny Lancaster Stuart - with the judges backing Penny three to one. In an interview with The Mirror, the sports presenter raged: "I am absolutely gutted to have gone out so early. I thought if you worked hard and were honest, you'd be OK. But apparently 'my journey' isn't interesting enough." Gabby, who hosts BBC's Inside Sport, is adamant that clumsy fellow competitor Kate Garraway - who came bottom of the judges' leaderboard on Saturday - has been able to win the sympathy vote from fans through her role on GMTV. "I don't have a PR machine, I don't have a publicist," she fumed. "A lot of the others do and maybe I should have considered that." Hinting that Kate is using her role as GMTV host to get the public on her side, Gabby said: "I don't have that outlet," she said. "My Inside Sport viewers won't vote on Strictly Come Dancing." But she slammed claims that her competitive streak had put viewers off. "I was made out to be extremely competitive, but Alesha Dixon put in lots more hours than me. How come I'm more competitive than her or Kelly Brook?" Despite her disappointment, Gabby insisted that will be cheering on husband Kenny this Saturday. She said: "He's entertaining and is trying his hardest. I'll help him if he needs to practise when he comes home."
