Tamsin Greig unsure about third series of Episodes
Tamsin Greig has revealed she's hoping for another series of Episodes, but isn't sure if it will happen. The actress stars alongside Matt LeBlanc and Stephen Mangan in the award-winning BBC Two comedy, which has run for two seasons in the UK and US. But when asked if there will be a third series, Tamsin admitted: "We're waiting to hear. I hope so, but we're waiting to hear." The mum-of-three is currently appearing on stage in West End play Jumpy, and likes nothing more than jumping on to the Tube to unwind after a performance. She said: "It's amazing how invisible you can be on the Tube... People keep their heads down and when they do there are often double-takes and then it's nice, you have a chat with people." Tamsin plays the mother of a petulant teenage daughter in the play, which also stars Smack The Pony funnywoman Doon Mackichan as her best pal. "The story is about a very ordinary woman who is not a stateswoman, she hasn't discovered anything, she hasn't saved anything, she's just had a child and is in a marriage and has brought the child up and has reached that point of crisis which a lot of women reach where they have to navigate their way through a lot of surrenders, and I'd never seen that before, the ordinariness of loss and I was intrigued by that," Tamsin explained. "It's a completely different discipline to screen. It's just about preparing yourself physically in a different way. Film is very much about the detail of one piece of the jigsaw, and theatre is about getting out there and doing the 10,000 metres. So it's very different, but just as invigorating." Jumpy runs to November 3 at London's Duke Of York's Theatre
